Public Engagement Opportunity in Cook Inlet Oil and Gas Pipelines Project

Workshop on Cook Inlet Pipelines Announced

[KENAI, ALASKA, April 10, 2019]—Cook Inlet Regional Citizen’s Advisory Council (CIRCAC) will provide opportunities for citizens and stakeholders in Cook Inlet to ask questions and offer suggestions regarding the safe operation of Cook Inlet’s pipeline infrastructure. This engagement will be facilitated through an online webinar on April 25, 2019, and public meeting May 8, 2019.

“We’re pleased to have the opportunity to share information with citizens and stakeholders about Cook Inlet’s critical pipeline infrastructure,” said Michael Munger, Executive Director of CIRCAC.” Delivering information to the public and bringing their ideas or questions to the operating companies is an important part of how we achieve our mission.”

CIRCAC has developed a website to provide information about pipeline systems in Cook Inlet. Through the website, CIRCAC is also providing opportunities for citizens and stakeholders to provide feedback on their pipeline safety questions or concerns through a survey that is available on the website. Interested survey participants can participate through the following link: https://bit.ly/2UlmosV.

The May 8 public meeting, which will be accessible online for citizens and stakeholders that are unable to participate in person, will present information to answer the questions and concerns that were raised through the April 25th public webinar and survey. Additionally, there will be an opportunity for discussion about pipeline safety and integrity management at the public meeting. To register for this meeting, please visit www.cookinletpipelines.com

The project is funded under a Technical Assistance Grant provided by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA).

CIRCAC is a non-profit organization focused on promoting safe production and transportation of oil in Cook Inlet.
