On Friday, September 19, 2025, members of the Cook Inlet Harbor Safety Committee gathered at the Port of Alaska for a cleanup effort at the Ship Creek Boat Ramp and along the vehicle access road to the launch area.
A great representation of our Committee – In attendance were Marathon Petroleum, CISPRI, Port of Alaska, SWAPA, Fairwater, ALAMAR, Alaska Chadux Network and HDR Alaska.
The group’s efforts helped remove litter and debris that can harm local wildlife, pollute waterways, and create safety hazards for those who use the area. Their work made the area cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for the community and the environment alike!
Special thanks to Cook Inlet Spill Response Inc. for providing the supplies that made the event safe and effective, and to the Port of Alaska for their partnership and hospitality in hosting lunch at the Port Administration Building!
